Hi, my name is Charlotte.
I’m a brand designer based in the UK, which means I’m a fan of big ideas, drinking tea and complaining about the weather. I had the pleasure of studying Graphic Design at Falmouth University until my graduation in 2018 and have been practicing my craft in industry ever since.
So, what makes me different?
Good question, anonymous visitor. I’d have to say my openness – I’ve had the pleasure of working in projects across industries, from as serious as venture capital and financial loss assessment to frivolous as dog treats. And from this experience I’ve learned that there’s potential for ambitious ideas across the spectrum of ‘seriousness’ – in fact, it can be the briefs which might seem narrow that can be the most rewarding.
anything else to say?
Well yes, actually, now that you mention it. My favourite part of the design process isn’t the bit where you make things look pretty (although that is pretty fun).
What really gets me going is dreaming up creative ideas which aren’t just different for the sake of it, but strategically crafted to overcome obstacles and convey a unique narrative.
Visual design is at its most powerful where it has a compelling story to tell, but this is a delicate process which requires both lateral thinking and nuance (take that, AI!). Luckily, this is my speciality, and one I’ve honed through years of projects across all sectors. If that sounds like something you’d be into, get in touch!
